Lenovo IdeaPad U300s - ultrabook of lines

              The year 2012 may be completely dominated by ultrabooks. These slim, lightweight device, where the concept was proposed by Intel, are likely to be the classic Warlords notebooks. Lenovo IdeaPad U300s is the perfect example.

                  "Ultrabook" is at the moment, one of the trendier terms in the IT industry. Lenovo is a brand that was one of the last entered into this segment. IdeaPad U300s, apart from ASUS, Toshiba and Acer, creates a "Big Four" of ultrabooks first generation on the market. This new laptop is also one of the more interesting items among all kinds of mobile computers.
Away from the Apple
            Chinese giant took to heart the charge for copying the design, which Apple throws in competition. The result is a new laptop that meets all the basic criteria set for the ultrabooks, and is not at the same time deprived of his own character. The machine's design resembles a book, because its down and the bottom protrude slightly beyond the block. U300s does not look as impressive as Zenbook Asus, though his style and so pleasing to the eye.

             Depth of the new laptop is the same everywhere and is less than 15 mm (exact dimensions are 324 to 216 at 14.9 m at a weight of 1.33 kg). The whole is made of a single block of aluminum, no creaks and bends under the pressure point. Ultrabook design alludes to another machine, Lenovo, the IdeaPad U260 model. If U300s However, there is a more mature product, and much better made. Conceived heat dissipation, the work ultrabook is cool and quiet.
        Lenovo IdeaPad U300s not have a rich set of communication ports. In addition to a single USB 3.0, USB 2.0, HDMI, power connector and audio connector, the machine does not meet nothing more. One major drawback is the lack of the new laptop SD card reader and VGA and Ethernet ports in any version.

See and touch
       Ultrabook Lenovo has 13.3-inch screen working at a maximum resolution of 1366 by 768 pixels. Pixel density is satisfactory, although at a higher resolution (as in the Asus UX31) would be more accurate image reproduction. Same display works without charge: deep blacks, contrast and luminance are at a high level. Glossy screen character U300s can some users work on the nerves, like the limited viewing angles.
    Slim flap of the new laptop screen reflects negatively on its rigidity, but we experience here
motility such as the Toshiba Portege Z830. Much of the credit embedding discrete solid screen hinge.

                Lenovo has always been known to mount mobile computers in their excellent keyboards. It is no different in the case of U300s. The manufacturer advertised its premiere ultrabook as equipment with a "breathable" insular AccuType keyboard. Despite its ambiguous name to Advanced Cooling Technology, uses the keyboard for a specific channel for ventilating parts of the machine, not the user's fingers cool. However, gentle rounding of the bottom of the buttons, short stroke and silent cliques make the writing on the U300s is a pleasant experience. It is a pity that the Chinese giant has not decided to highlight the keyboard arrow keys and the separation of the central block.
           Under the keyboard you will find a large touchpad with integrated mouse buttons. The whole works fine, but sometimes you may experience minor delays in translating movements of the fingers on the cursor position. Click circuits with tiles trackpad is not loud.

The technical standard

Like all ultrabooks first generation, the Lenovo IdeaPad U300s platform is based on Huron River. The new laptop is powered by a dual-core Intel Core i5-2467M clocked at 1.6 GHz. The kit also has 4 GB of RAM, integrated Intel GMA graphics card HD 3000 and the SSD with a capacity of 128 GB. Manages the entire pre-installed Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. The machine has a built-in WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, and 1.3-megapixel webcam. For performance, not looks U300s neither better nor worse than ultrabooks competition. The machine copes well with multitasking, surfing the web or editing text files, but the game absolutely will not do.

Ultrabook Lenovo has built-in 4-cell battery that allows up to 7 hours of operating time. Note that by implementing RapidCharge technology, the battery after 30 minutes is charged at 50 percent. IdeaPad U300s starts in about 20 seconds and wakes from sleep almost immediately. Without technology RapidDrive SSD and hard disk based on flash memory, it would not be possible.
The fourth musketeer
       Lenovo IdeaPad U300s is an elegant, well made, and in addition ultrabook very well optimized. Although the Chinese have delayed the debut of the new laptop on the market it was worth their wait. This is not a perfect machine, but people who are looking for solid construction for approximately $ 1.199 should be interested in it.

Pros:
+ Attractive design;
+ Comfortable keyboard;
+ Fast and quiet operation;
+ 128 GB solid state drive as standard.
The Bad:
